INT. PRESIDENTIAL SUITE
(Historical note: At the dedication of the Gettysburg
cemetery, the main address was delivered by the renowned
orator Edward Everett and lasted two hours. Lincoln's brief
speech, honouring the Union dead and the principles of
democracy and equality they died for, lasted a few minutes.

the most remembered in U.S history. The following account is
provided by one of Lincoln's aides, presumably the fellow
knocking on the door.)

paper and pen.
